Last night we went to Pageant of the Masters at the Festival of Arts in Laguna. It is "living pictures" - they take classical and contemporary artworks and people pose (against a background) to create the original piece. The "living pictures" are presented with a narrative and orchestral music creating an incredible performance of art. And just to add to the magic it is set in an open air theatre in the middle of Laguna Canyon..beautiful.

I was not quite sure what to expect but it was fantastic. It is almost impossible to describe-Pageant of the Masters is definitely something you have to experience to appreciate.

The happiest place on earth......or so they say!!!

We did the big day at Disneyland on Tuesday. I swear Walt Disney would be rolling over in his grave if he knew the prices that Disney charges families!!!

However.....
Amira ,eventually after a rocky start, had a great time. She loved 'It's a Small World' (my favourite)
and the Jungle Cruise.




We waited 2 hours for the new
`Nemo ride but it was really good. Cleo
especially loved it and screamed happily in the submarine!!!







It was a long exhausting day but still worth it for the look on Amira's face during the Disney parade. She loves it - all the dancing and singing - and especially when Ariel (The Little Mermaid) blows you a kiss....it doesn't get much better.



Finished the day off with a nice batch of fireworks and of course the spinning flashing lights!!


I suppose for Amira and Cleo it was the happiest place earth ......well for that day it was!!!!

I had a blog block!!!

I have been so busy and it has been a stressful couple of weeks. I have decided to leave Jetblue, who I have happily worked for over a year and half. It has served me well but it is time to turn the page and start a new chapter. Just cannot believe we did not fly anywhere!! I will start my new job at ADA Intelligent Dental Marketing (sounds glamourous, huh?) in about 2 weeks. For those who do not know I will actually be replacing, my good friend, Aimee's position (as she ventures to Seattle). Thanks Aimee for helping me get the job!!

However, to more important things. Right at this moment I am happily sitting on the deck, curled up in a blanket, just off our room at the beach house. The cool, fresh smell of the ocean hovers in the air. Heaven!!! Everybody is asleep but it is so nice to find the time to finally sit down and write a little something in my blog.


Excited to be back in Laguna Beach again - the annual beach vacation with the family. We have come to a new beach house this year, it is not the familiar one but it is really nice.

Started off our first day at the beach. Amira loves the water and Cleo loves the sand (eating lots and lots!) so together they make a good pair of beach bums!!

Finished the night with a dance off and a limbo contest. Wish I could share those scenes with you - as all would appreciate. Fun...fun.....fun......
